16 Days of Activism Kick-Off at JTI

KAMPALA: The Judicial Training Institute in partnership with UN Women kicked off a series of activities aimed at  on violence against women and girls.

According to Magistrate Grade One, HW Jackeline Kagoya, who is heading the project,different levels of engagement have been planned at the Nakawa Chief Magistrates Court as well as neighboring communities.

She said on 3rd and 4th December, there will be sensitization at Luzira Prison.

The national  theme for this year is "Orange: World Hear Me Too" END VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS.

The 16 days of activism is an international campaign against violence against women and girls, from November 25th to December 10th annually. It raises awareness,strengthening networks and developing effective strategies to prevent violence and promote women's rights.
